Benefit Corporations are for‑profit entities that aim to create long‑term shared value. This model promotes an evolved economic paradigm in which business plays a critical role in regenerating society and the biosphere.
Chiesi became a Benefit Corporation in Italy in 2018, in accordance with Italian Law No. 208/2015, incorporating into its articles four specific objectives related to its patients, community, employees, suppliers, and the environment, along with a broader commitment to the common good. Currently, Chiesi has adopted Benefit Corporation legal status in Italy, the United States, France, and Colombia.
Benefit Corporations are required to present an annual Impact Report detailing the objectives and achievements aligned with their specific mission.
