Committed to strengthening the company’s market position, it focuses on driving long-term value creation across our three therapeutic areas (Air, Rare, Care).
Our Business Development Air team works to insource new projects in development (from early preclinical up to registration phase) and marketed products, with global focus in the respiratory area and with specific attention on Asthma, COPD, IPF, PAH, Non-CF Bronchiectasis.
Our Business Development Care team works to insource new projects in development (from early preclinical up to the registration phase) and marketed products in Neonatal with global focus, and marketed or late-stage (post-PoC) assets in Hospital Acute & Critical Care and Solid Organ Transplant.
Our Business Development Rare team works to insource new projects in development (from early preclinical up to the registration phase) and marketed products, with global focus in the Rare area and with specific attention on Inborn Errors of Metabolism (primarily Lysosomal Storage Disorders), Immunodeficiencies, Hemoglobinopathies, Endocrinology/Cardio-Metabolic, Dermatology, Ophtha back of the eye indications.
Our Corporate Development team leads mergers and acquisitions in coordination with the Business Development teams, divestments and out-licensing activities, regional and local deals and other types of transactions outside Air, Care and Rare.
The Due Diligence Team is accountable to ensure robust and balanced technical/scientific assessment of external partnering opportunities. During the most delicate phase of due diligence, the team represents the bridge between the deal team and the internal technical functions and their goal is to identify risks and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
Our Alliance Management is engaged during negotiations to ensure that rules and responsibilities assigned to the parties by contract are effectively supportive of a productive collaboration. The Alliance manager will ensure that the collaboration unfold smoothly maximizing the value we can create together anticipating and resolving roadblocks.
