The Parma step of the Farmindustria roadshow “Innovation and Value Production - The pharmaceutical industry: a heritage that Italy cannot miss” was held yesterday at the GSK plant in San Polo di Torrile.
Our President Alberto Chiesi, speaking on behalf of the Group, underlined the investments in R&D made by Chiesi and the concrete commitment to environmental sustainability. Chiesi is in 1st place for investments in R&D among pharmaceutical companies in Italy, in 2nd place among Italian manufacturing companies and the first Italian pharmaceutical company for number of patents filed (4,857 in 2020).
The President emphasised that “preserving this level of investments in the territory is not sustainable in the long term without the support of institutions, at national and European level, capable of drawing up innovation-friendly regulations and actions, able to embrace the change underway, breaking away from the logic of the past”.
