Parma (Italy), November 16th, 2023 - The Partnership Day is back with a new name. The event, organised by the Chiesi Group starting from 2019 at its Headquarters in Parma (Italy), involves the company’s main suppliers and partners to celebrate the best practices in the evolution of the company’s Value Chain.
Chiesi believes in the concept of interdependence, and from this belief stems the evolution path of its value chain. Based on these premises, the Group has co-designed with its partners a code of conduct called Code of Interdependence, which was published in 2020 and updated in 2022. This document changed the concept of supply chain to that of Ecosystem. The code is a practical tool that Chiesi uses to evolve towards a more sustainable and inclusive concept of company, both for the pharmaceutical industry and for a better world.
The Partnership Day was born to continue an ongoing dialogue with all partners. The event is an occasion to share the strategic projects developed during the year and also to present the “Partner Awards”. The awards will be dedicated to those entities that particularly distinguished themselves in these two categories: “Best Partner for People and Planet” and “Best Partner in Innovation and Collaboration”.
“I am proud that this day, which until last year was named 'Vendor Day', is returning in a new guise, namely a moment of encounter and dialogue with all Chiesi partners”, commented Guido D’Agostino, Head of Global Procurement at Chiesi Group. “A moment dedicated to Chiesi’s value chain and conceived to promote the concept of interdependence: all the elements that make up a given system are interconnected and depend on each other. A fundamental workflow related to a constant increase in the level of sustainability and to a reduction of the negative impacts of the entire value chain. In this process, a key role is played by our strategic partners”.
